Background Information:
- We were given a handful of photoshop tutorials. Were are used to choose one that caught our eye and try to use our own idea, image, graphic, or product design. Gid-dy up!!
- I wanted to create something with cool layer masking fading effects on a person. I originally wanted to create a double exposure but it turned into something a little bit different.
- I got all the image and design from adobe stock(one free month subscription)
- I used quick selection and selected the man and then went to select and mask and used the refine edge tool to get the fine details of the hair that did not get through quick selection.
- I then made a new layer with layer mask
- Converted Photo of the man into a smart object
- Converted the color rainbow photo into a smart object
- I free transformed the new layer to size a position of where I wanted it on the canvas.
- I made a gradient behind him from black to white because I knew that I was going to use a lot of color on the design I wanted a background that make it pop!
- Since I the man was is a smart object I went to image adjustments and black and white and altered the image to with i felt like I was looking for.
- I then brought my rainbow colors into my image and positioned the rainbow colors to where I wanted it on the image.
- I then selected the layer mask and selected the rainbow colors and went to layers, layer mask, reveal selection to bring the colors in the selection.
- I then used my brush tool on white, selected to new revealed layer mask and painted in some of the colors of what I was wanting it to look like.
- I made a new layer new to man layer and used black paint to paint in/fade in the colored rainbow and man together.
- I learned how to create this image through this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8p9BeTmESIo
