Background Information:
Design Thoughts:
- This is a photo of my of my Dad in his 30's in the 1980's. He is on the left front hold his first buck. He still has the sheds to tis day hanging in his garage. This photo was given to me by my cousin and over time white makes on the right and throughout the picture have caused to picture to lose visibility.
Design Thoughts:
- My goals was to restore the photo to it's original clarity to my best ability considering the low resolution.
- Used spot healing brush tool to clean up the white marks on the photo.
- Used clone stamp to colone to bottom right hand corner.
- Used curves to lighten up the contrast of the picture.
- I did not think that low resolution would make restoring this photo difficult but it did. As I used the spot healing brush tool to clean up my uncles deer(front right) the more I used the spot healing brush tool the more the deer looked fake so I decided to clean up the major whit marks to make the deer head more visible and still keep authenticitiy of the photo. I also attempted to to use to polygonal lasso tool to cut the antler on my uncles deer and put it on the opposite side of the his deer so that you could see a set of angles but since it was low resolution I was not able to transform the antler.
